When i had my Corsa resprayed i had the lad de-texture them first. it looked great!
If they're just dull and faded, a blow torch or heat gun will make them look brand new in seconds

I always use a little hand held blow torch. I'm not talking a cutting lance here i've never set fire to or even burnt anything on the car, it's pretty much instant just waving the flame over.

I used a blow torch Was done in no time and nothing caught fire.
Before, so grey you could almost pass them off as colour coded
Blow torch and some Autoglym bumper care and voila,
