just fitted some cav sri brakes to the corsa last week, test drive and there was a horrible squealing noise. took apart and found the metal (heat/shit shield) behind the disc had bent and was resting on the disc like an old record player. bent that back into place and it was fine. day later the same noise is back looks as if the metal shield hasn't moved back onto the disc.

any ideas what it could be?? should i pay out for some new discs and pads? the ones on arent bad but not new

Did you put copper grease on them?

dont jack car up try and get under it and feel the plate with your hands i bet it still rubbing happend to me drove me mad for a day

were u have bent it out the way sure u aint got it slightly touching and does it squeek more when you turn the wheels left or right and so on

when i done mine say i bent the left side of the plate up the right side and middle would bend in and think i done it then turned left and rubbing again so i just bent middle then got a ice lolly stick ( found on floor) ha and then ran it round to make sure wernt touching

Ahh yeah it seems to be more common when turning right, coming from the drivers side I think. I'll give that a try!!!
