i have a really pov spec b so no leccy windows/mirrors, no C/L
and was thinking about putting electric windows and mirrors on
i know il need the loom and every thing from a donor car
but will i need a full dash loom or is it seperate to the dash loom?
or just cliped into it so it can be seperated?
greatful of any help

Open your door, unplug the electrical connector and count how many wires/pins there are on the dash board side. If there is 20/21 somethin like that you can just plug the door loom off the donar car in and put a fuse in. If not then you will have to change the dash loom inside the car (pane in the arse to do!)

would changing the dash loom and everything be just plag and play then.
so a 1.6 loom off a gsi or something with electric windows and tha would just plug straight into where my exisiting one was/is?

it would be more a car loom swap as all the electrics wireing runs under the seats and to the rear of the care recently carried out this mod to mine

yeah so basically all the wiring inside the car? ll the loom which runs to the back.. under the seats.. behind the dash and into the doors.
wha i need know is will changing this to something out of a higher spec like a GSi.. affect the car running or will it all just be plug and play?

My mate has a N reg corsa pov spec we put electric windows in that, u need iirc 5wires from door to door, then there is a wire u need to put to a permanent live so the windows go up after one press of the button, then there's another live wire u will need to put to something that's live when ignition is turned on, there is no need to mess about swappin dash looms ect...

okay i dont really wanna be putting wires in my self.. not great with electrics.. plus want mirrors and c\l to
can any one tell me.. if i take a full interior loom out of a higher spec 1.6 or something with leccy mirrors and windows..
will it plug strait into my pov spec 1ltr with out any modifications and be okay?
as in everything work

I couldn't tell you that, I don't think a 1.0 would run with a 1.6 loom because when I've done conversions in the past 1.0-1.6 had to change the dash loom because they are different, so looks like u might have to run wires.

i think they will just plug and play aslong as your dash loom has fuse points for the windows and mirrors
