its seems i have a problem with oe alarm on the corsa, it seems once ive loced the car, 15 minutes later, or sometime 2 hours, 5 hours later it wil go off randomly.
does anyone know if there is any common faults with them?

The sounder has a battery in which eventually starts dying and then it thinks it has lost power which it assumes is the battery being disconnected so the alarm goes off.
Get access to the sounder to the point where you can take it off, then get a bucket of water and unplug the sounder and drop it straight in the water as it will go off. A few seconds later, the sound stops 
Oh yeah, don't bother getting a new one from a dealer with a view to fitting it as it needs programming in with Tech2.

does the sounder look lke a cr horn i take it? ive just un-plugged it for now

No the sounder is kind of like a siren, the horn goes off as well. If it's the horn that's going off then it sounds like a different problem.
