Fairly simple yeah, Have to connect about 8 wires depending on the kit.
Have you thought about getting a alarm fitted? Not much more money and you add a safety factor to it.

When you push the door pin down on the drivers door does it lock everything else?
If so all you need is a £30 remote kit from maplins and about 30mins.

Alarm £150/250 depending on make/model of alarm and how long it takes to fit. Probs looking at an hours labour for a corsa if they know what they are doing.
RCL your looking at about £60 for a decent kit plus labour of about an hour again.
Very very rough prices obviously, Im not going outside to check the price list

No you wire a live into it then out to make your soleniod on your lock open, this in turn will open the rest of the doors.
Not quite as simple as that but i can draw you a diagram if needs be

If I can be a auto electrician by day, you must be able to do a single job, Even if it takes three times as long as it would me
On a vaux its really simple, Basically just a case of finding a wire, then joining onto it, Best way is to solder but you could use scotchlocks or something.
One or two lives, 2 central locking wires (Or might be four) and a earth, either do it via tapping into another wire or onto a proper earth point.
Most kits come with a diagram anyway, Just ask for colours on the car if needed.
