Hi peeps
Just thought i would ask if a exhaust manifold is hard to fit by yourself...
i have all the gaskets an sealent but standard tools, is it worth me doing it?
trying to do everything to my car myself thats all.
thanks

Very easy, might need someone to lend a hand but it's pretty easy to do yourself

what engine is it on? you may struggle to get the bottom corner bolt in on PAS models.

when looking in the bay the bolts on your manifold, the bottom left is a bit of a pain to get out and harder to get back in.
i just left mine out in the end and it doesnt blow so what the hell lol (x16xe, very similar engine)
if you have this issue you could remover the PAS pump etc... and get it easy
all in all a pretty easy job tbh

Couple of quid at halfords will make the job alot easier, and should really be using RTV silicone

The hardest bit is getting the old manifold off, the heat shield is the worst bit, don't use exhaust paste because it will damage your cat.
