Going mad here.
Internet is working fine & well, as is xbox live/psn, no lag on COD etc.
But my download speed is fucking shocking, usually can download an album in a couple of minutes, i am now getting less than 1 k/b per download.
Tried resetting the router etc, laptops plugged in as LAN and now the router is not showing up on the wifi, not a major issue for me but my mum uses it for her laptop and my phone usually wifi's to safe my data allowance.
Any suggestions ? Has been ongoing for a week or so, and isnt the 1st time its happened.

What/Where are you downloading from?
Shit seeds on torrents? Could be your ISP throttling it?

Albums, piratebay, using uTorrent.
One jumped up to 30kb/s for a few seconds.
Most of the torrents have 100+ seeds.

Have you done port forwarding to open the right things on the router? Could be that the ISP has blocked certain ports or something?

Should try a speedtest or download something from the web browers.
I always use GPU drivers as a test. Always get a accurate speed from them and it's a decent enough size to get an overall reading.
Then you know if you get 1.1 MB/s there and 30kbs from torrents then there is a problems only with torrents p2p probably.

Your ISP is most probably throttling your bandwidth, at least where torrents are concerned.
