We've just purchased the package, will be getting it in around 2 weeks
Is it good or bad? I only really want it so I can download movies and albums faster.
ATM our download speed is 1.5 MB and it takes all day to download a film Apparently we can get about 20MB download speed with this
Is it really that good?

20mb is available to loads of people with normal ADSL, I'd hope the next gen service can provide at least that speed.

Is BT Infiniti the fibre broadband? I looked into it for work or whatever the business version is called but now have a different package through BT where we get 37mb download speed.

According to the BT Infinity website you can get up to 40Mb download speeds.
It's not available at my place though, so the only other option for us is Virgin.

VDSL (basically FTTC but not quite FTTH/O/B)

It's fibre to the cabinet, then VDSL to the home. It's still subject to deterioration dependant on the distance between the customer's home and the cabinet.
