Hi guys

A client is trying to set up his mail account i've provided him with, i've got no spare macbooks lying about with mac mail on them.

Is it possible for you to send a screenshot of all the settings needed for it, including any advanced settings for SMTP outgoing. He's very vauge on the phone telling me what and where he's inputting the data.

Thanks a lot!

Whittie, are you not still using BWF to host? They generate the file for you for each account so all you need to do is double click and it'll set it up. They definitely do it for Mac too, just checked.

I've had someone like this once, same thing but on the iPhone. Just tell him you'll come out and sort it for him for £50 or something

He's got it working on his iPhone

He's in London. If he still can't do it. I'll give up and tell him to call his local pc dude out!

Oh right yes a bit far from you then

Won't someone from the Apple "genius" bar be able to sort it for him for free if he took his MacBook there or would they not help with such things?

Not sure if these are much use to you? I don't use Mail so I don't know the ins and outs of the menu structures:

Thanks, I think there's only one thing in my portfolio at the moment Nearly all the work I've done lately has been subject to non-disclosure agreements so I can't publish it. That and I've been too busy to actually get stuff up there and make the template work better with portfolio style content

Well ed got there first. As said though, always useful have a VM image of OSX for times when clients use Macs; it certainly has saved me a few times.
