My 160gb iPod classic has recently started to freeze for a couple of seconds at a time every few tracks or several times during an album mix track. It's got worse in the last couple of weeks (ie. far more frequent)
From what I remember, it's about 4 years old - was a present from the ex GF, so I don't have any receipts etc.
So, is this a sign it's on it's way out? And will a warranty stand at all this far down the line and with no receipt?

The logical thing would have been for me to check that first before posting really wouldn't it!

Well I did about 3 months ago, which if I'm honest, I'm now wondering if that's what caused it tbh...
