For my own sanity, i am right thinking an email sent to distribution group will get sent to all of the members of that group? ie: Contact@domain.com is assigned to a distribution group (say 'Contact'), Bob and Frank are both members of 'Contact' group, both will receive that email.
For some reason emails are getting rejected due to a 'Security Policy smtp;550 5.7.1' issue and can't work out what's causing it

Never mind about the issue, 'Request all senders are authenticated' was selected on the groups restrictions options Hopefully that was the problem.

Email seems to flowing ok, so I'm guessing that was the issue. Was fannying around for a while trying to work out what could be causing it
Regarding distribution group email, I'm assuming it's transparent to both sender and user (receiver)?
So the user will see the original senders email address (and not the distribution group email address) and if the user replies to the senders email, the sender will see the users mailbox email address?
Cheers Sam

You'd have to check with an Exchange guru on this but I'm pretty certain if say you sent me an email from your distribution group then that email address would show up as the sender rather than your own personal one if that makes sense.
Or in the very least it might say something like "Dom on behalf of xxx group email".

If you send to a distribution group you'd send t the address of the group.
You'd normally send out from your own.
If it was being used to send out from I set up a mailbox then either have that mail I'd forward to whatever or better I'd just add on as a second mailbox in outlook.
That request all senders is a pita, came across it last week.
