Was looking at my fan belt, which is squeeling, but undamaged, and I cannot work out how to tighten it. Its an 1985 1.0 engine, I'm sure its simple but I've never worked with a fan belt before.
Any help appreciated, can upload pics when I get home if necessary.

Fan belt and timing belt are two very different types of belt buddy, do you know what one you mean?

not 100% sure but Id say its one where the alt moves and needs to be pulled to make the belt tight.

Thats what my dad said, but when he looked at it he couldn't work it out.
Its not making the noise half as much now but still need to get it sorted.

yeah on a mini that alternator moves and u just have to lever it till its tight, but if its too tight it will make a noise aswell.
