what have you done in your garage (if anything) to prevent the door getting hit on the concrete?

Do you mean, the car door hitting the garage wall, or the garage door hitting the floor?
If it's the car door, just a bit of carpet along the wall when the door opens.

Carpet along the wall is popular as said or you can splash out and get some rubber/foam bump strips.

Think my Dad used screws/rawplugs with nice big washers to stop the screw head pulling through the carpet.

A piece of the sticky back foam that you use to stick behind speakers and subs etc... Had a square of it hanging round in the garage. Perfect! Really sticky too and has been up 3 years on shitty dusty concrete.

I have never thought of putting carpet on the wall...what's wrong with just being careful whilst getting out? You don't see cars with carpet on their doors parking on car parks

sometimes it can't be helped.
the wind could blow it open or you'd be fixing something and it'd just hit the wall.
has happened to me many times as my garage isn't that big.
carpet is the most popular fix i find. my dad recommended it as it's cheap and easy.

Plus putting a bit of carpet on the wall as a prevention is a bit easier than having the hassle of a dented door getting it resprayed etc
I'd do it if I could get my car in my garage I need another one just to keep my car in.

My Rocco is too wide to get in and out of without. Plus the door is so thick it doesn't leave much room at all.

How wide is that Jed? It's a joke that houses come with garages so narrow.

Ripped up the carpet from my old bedroom at my mums when I left. Used wooden battens on one side but on the other I actually just screwed to the wall using raw plugs and generic screws
