Any tips on finding an air leak? My engine is hunting through the revs and I can hear a hissing noise. Can't find where its coming from at all though

washing up liquid and water in a spray bottle, spray it over the suspected area and watch for bubbles

Yes I've tried that, but what I'm saying is, if I can't feel it, how would putting fairy be any fifferent?

I'll give it a bash anyway, and the tail lights was a n00bie error

Brake or carb cleaner, quickest easiest way to narrow it down

Not what I know off mate, it seems to quieten down when the engine is hot for some reason.

And strangely, when I close the bonnet the engine drops to about 600rpm and nearly dies out, open the bonnet and it climbs again as if I'm suffocating it? Would that be down to the same thing?

Going to try and find it tomorrow!
