Just wondering which are better? What I mean is, which have:
- Which has a better pedal
- Stopping power
- Which are easier to get
- Which are easier to get performance discs for
1.2 8V brakes couldn't stop a bicycle never mind a 120bhp Corsa!

For any engine smaller than a 2.0 IMO 2.0 all day long. Far better pedal and cheaper discs etc

How much would I be looking at paying for a decent set? Saw that Euro Car Parts want £86 for one calliper.

the cavalier you had in your post should have the same 256mm brakes as the 2.0 sri/gsi etc id check its brakes before buying anything

The cavalier in the project thread? I must check tomorrow actually. Discs are shot tho, so must get new ones.

yeah,
pre92 - 236x13mm solid discs (same as corsa 1.2)
post92 - 256x20mm vented discs(same as corsa sri 1.4 8v)
post 94 - 256x24mm vented discs (same as sri/gsi)

Thanks lads. Where can I go about getting a set of drilled/grooved discs? I don't want to go the ebay route & my local garage want £175!

i managed to get a set on my local halfords store, red dot ones for £25 but it just depends when they put all there old stock crap out

i got some of them 
was a couple years ago now 
eurocarparts are cheap for discs/pads mate

fazza i went a bit mad and got 1x256 and 2x236 sets lol still got the 236s
