Is there a way to get some kind of alert when you are nearing your call allowance on your mobile?
Either an app or some kind of alerting service? I'm on O2 if it makes a difference.
I've had 3 £100 phone bills in a row now and I'm getting a bit sick of it

u can check online how many minutes etc u have left

Yeh but it's a faff and I always forget to do it. Ideally want some kind of alert, even if it's a daily e-mail or something.

What phone? New HTC's have a built in usage app which covers all sms, mins and net. There will be an app similar to 3g watch dog available for minutes and sms though on android market and apple store

Actually there is an o2 app which will tell you as quickly asanyother app except it maybe slightly behind

Or do O2 have an API for accessing billing information? I will write something myself if nothing exists.

Theres an O2 website that you can access on your phone only and it tells you your usage too. The app was temperamental when I used it, so was the site actually.

Download Onavo extended as well mate, it will reduce your data allowance
