Has anyone boxed in there K&N 57i if so how did you do it pics if possible and did it make any difference to the performance eg get rid of the flat spot ofter sitting in traffic.

I know K&N sell a Induction with a heat shield already on it. I'm tring to find out if that shield can be bought on its own.

Also, I think ECOTek make a heat shield for their induction kit but I don't know if they sell the shield on it's own.

I have a metal box around my K&N. I will get some pics for you tomorrow and post them up.

About the flatspots maybe that reseting the ECU can help.About the haet shielding i think this has been done beforeut the k&n in the standard air box,isolate the inside of the box with any heat shielding material,cold air feed.

i have made one and yes it makes a big differance
Used aluminium sheeting!If u look ferther on there was a post about heat sheilds ferther on yesterdfay i wrote loads of info there

you could try heat shielding the cone filter all the way round and leave the end open for the cold air pressure feed
