So the mrs bought me a kindle touch for my birthday and I'm wanting some new books, what type of files am I looking to download? Obviously the easiest way is amazon etc but what about the torrents? Anybody help?

Books come in .azw I think, but I'm sure the kindle can read most kinds of documents, be it txt, html, jpg, pdf, doc, mobi, etc. They'll likely come in a zip file anyway, which I think the kindle can also read from. Pretty sure PirateBay has a books section though it's down at this moment in time.

.mobi is the file for kindle
epub is just another version, download calibre and it will convert to the correct format you need.
