Hi guys,

I've traded on forums for some time but with products expanding I can now supply a subtantial amount which isn't easy to list on a forum.

I currently have sagepay setup so I was looking for an easy to use online shop creator that I can also integrate this into...

Alternatively if this is anyone's job I'd be happy to pay a CS member instead

Thanks,

Rob.

Cubecart / oscommerce / Magento all support sagepay and are the main ecommerce shops nowadays.

Cubecart is probably the easiest for you to manage, but in the longer run Magento is more customizable, easier to change appearences and for you to add functions on.

All three can be installed easy enough.

There's quite a few lads on here that would be happy to help, me, brett & sam to name a few.

OpenCart is also good, I've used that on a few sites and much nicer than osCommerce (although that isn't hard lol)

Speak to RobC on here. He occasionally pops in. He created the LMF website from memory amongst a host of others.

All the templates for CubeCart, Magneto etc look really poor and dated unless you get a custom shop front built. The OpenCart ones seem a lot more modern.

On these how easy is uploading products.

Problem I had before was categorising things.

As an example. Do you go:

Manufactuer> Model> Part type>Sub part type>Brands

Or

Manufactuer>Model>Brand>parts under that brand.

The top seems best to me but it's quite long to get too.

I personally dont like cubecart, as Whittie says not as customisable.
Support isnt all that great imo, so I would stick with Magento or oscommerce.

what are you selling?

How about
Part Type -> Brands -> Model

Doesnt that seem more logical?

It does yes, but if someone wants to know what specifically we do for their model then they click through everything only to find it's not available, that may become abit tedious as a customer.

It's car tuning parts.

Hi Guys,

Can someone just confirm for me with opencart the costs. I'e if someone pays through the site do they take a percentage of the sale, is there a monthly cost... all I can see on there site is it's free.

Thanks,

Rob.

OpenCart is free. Add ons like themes or modules, some of them are also free but some require money. And no OpenCart isn't subscription based.
