Hi all

Went away for the weekend, only to return to my corsa b making a loud horn sound, like someone was leaning on the horn.

Started the car, started fine and tried the horn to which the horn sounded so its not the horn making the noise but the car has a powersounder?

Any ideas why its going off?

Had to disconnect the neg battery terminal to stop it

its internal battery will be flat, i usually bin them but i have had one repaired before

anyway to stop the sound? soon as the battery is connected it starts?

have you tried, connecting the battery and when it goes off go to the door and lock it and unlock it with the key?

when i went to the car i unlocked it, started it, turned it off, locked the car but it still sounded? this was before I disconnected the neg terminal

just uplug it and forget about it or remove it and split it and replace the internal battery or the full unit im sure there £50 for vauxhall

Under the driverside scuttle panel its mounted where the engine loom goes thought the bulkhead, you will see 2 things, one small power sounder and another for the standard alarm if it had one

Got it disconnected by a garage and a few days later the car burst into flames so advice anyone who has a problem with theirs to get it checked ASAP!!
