Well I've just taken my Redtop out. But would like it to look good and obviously run well.
What do people recommend I change/upgrade while its out?

Most of the stuff is easier if its out, cam belt particularly so. If you've no history then it may well need one, you had the cover off to inspect it?
Starts getting expensive though if you want tensioners as well, probably upgraded ones at that.

Belts is preventative in case they fail. Gaskets I'd only probably do if there are signs of failure already.

How long are you planning on having it out of a car?
If quite a while then why not go the whole hog and give the whole thing a good going over? Check the bores and crank etc. No harm in having a look and then you can change gaskets etc on the way

Probably not for a fare while mate! Just bought an engine stand so taking off the gearbox this weekend and cleaning all that up, give it a power wash and try get as much of the oily dirt off it, then paint it with hammerite! Then start stripping engine down. will check them things when on the stand as will be easier
