I've been given a Dell Dimension PC to sell on behalf of a family member. Apart from it needing a new hard drive, the only issue I've noticed with this particular system is that if you reboot it the monitor doesn't seem to come out of standby sometimes - you have to physically turn it off and then back on again.

Any ideas on whether it's the PC or monitor at fault?

Can you not try it with another monitor?

Seems to be the obvious start.

Yeah when I actually clear some desk space I will do just wondered if anyone experienced this before.

I have had this problem and for me it was the monitor.
