Anyone replaced their ps3 controller battery?
Mine charges but as soon as you unplug the USB it just dies. I've got another that won't even charge!

Seen some on eBay but don't know which voltage or mAh to get! It's a DS3 if that makes a difference.

I have. I too bought a battery off eBay. I used a video off You Tube as a tutorial for fitting, which I might add was by a child

There are clips holding the casing in place after you have removed the fairly tight screws, there is one troublesome clip that is quite difficult to get out.

You may also find that the replacement battery is bigger so you will not need the original battery cradle.

Yes, as the battery is a lot cheaper than £30.

Easy to do, a few screws on the casing and the battery just clips in and has a push in wire. Takes about 5 mins max. Can't help with the voltages although your probably better off just unscrewing the case and seeing what the battery says.

Sweet, did you just buy the cheapest one on eBay? Have you had any issues with charging or battery life with the new ones?
I hardly use my ps3, mostly use the bluray remote anyway which is prob why the controllers have died!

It's £60 as I've got two fucked ones so I reckon for what could be a £5 fix its worth it!
