are there different ratio boxes for a 1.2 16v my nans car is running really high revs but very low speed nothing wrong with the clutch

I think hes saying that his nans car is revving quite high for the speed the cars actualy moving. Bear in mind i drive a 1.4 sport and that revs at 4k to do 80mph.lol not sure why there would be different ratio'd boxes though.
