Before i waste £100 on a new one can you test them with a volt meter etc??

Have an intermitant misfire and suspect its one of my four on the plug coils

Id be interested in this too as i suspect my missfire was coil pack related as it has a hairline crack near one of the bolt holes.

Has it not brought up a fault code?most now have idividual codes per coil!

Probably would as the eml. was just seeing if i could solve without taking to a garage. Plus its intermitant so knowing my luck it wouldnt do it there

You could just unplug one at a time and see which has little/no effect? That would be my first point of call.

Thats a fair point see if it gets any worse
only prob is catching it when it does it. hate intermittant problems

Seen an electrical friend test his coil packs on his rx8 before, and comapre them with new ones. I think you measure the resistance and tell that way? Google's bound to come up with something.
