Currently on o2 and im paying £42 a month for
500 mins
Unlimited txts
1gb data.
Virgin and vodaphone both offer unlimited everything for a cheaper price than im paying, i want unlimited data and txts if i can get it, 500 mins is fine.
What options do i have?

Wife pays £37 for pretty much same as you on O2. Just normal tariff from the shop.
I pay £12 on giffgaff, 250 mins, ultd texts and data or £10 gets you 500 mins, ultd texts and 1gb.

Also- when you upgrade on o2 website, they give you an option to upgrade without a phone....you get about £150 cashback put into your O2 account that you can spend on a phone or simply use that amount to use on your line rental.
Mine is literally free for a year!

Is that sim only?
As Dave mentioned, worth having a look at GiffGaff as you could easily half that price or more (if you cut your minutes). Otherwise keep an eye on Quidco and Topcashback, seen some great sim-only deals on there.

Yeah sim only. Couldnt be arsed getting an iphone 5 for 24 months etc so went sim only and can change my phone each month from blackberry to samsung to iphone etc

Im on talk mobile £7.50 a month 250 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb of data (£10 with 1GB) ( free phone that was sold on ebay for ££ but it was unlocked, the only reason to buy from Carphone Warehouse ) Talk Mobile seen the cheapest, in NI they use the Vodafone network not sure if same on mainland?
