cheers mate
i looked at some heavy duty jump leads in a tool shop yesterday, got me wondering... they where 600amp and each one 2 meters long... least then id have easily enough of black and red coated...
is their a reason i shouldn't use them? they where only £16 all in

I think with jump leads they aren't designed for continuous use but then again how often will you be starting it if it's not a road car?

depends on the quality of the wire? if its fine strands and not big thick strands then they would be ok. but at £16 aint going to be that good.
tried getting some from the breaker? corsa c leads are quite long or are you mounting the battery in the boot?
try a welding supply company for earth leads?

cable is cable, whether is £16 or £60 it will do the same job

You only need the fat cable for starting the car so i don't see why they wouldn't work.
Especially as it's a track car anyway.
