Are they are at loggerheads all of a sudden or am I just noticing it?

First of all there's a Microsoft advert running on local radio telling you not to use G Mail as it searches your e-mails for advert content now I've went on G Mail and it's telling me my browser is old and unsupported and I've to upgrade to a modern browser - Chrome naturally

I realise they're competitors but is there lawsuits out against one another or something? It got very public, very quickly.

At our tech conference the other week we had a MS speaker in, and he was very very anti google, dropping in that google wants your information for advertising all over the place
