Author tapping from inside cambelt cover!?

There's a tapping noise that occurs in relation to the revs. It happens once with each turn of the pulley by the sound of it. If I rev it it speeds up! I'm thinking tensioner but any suggestions welcome! Will be swapping engine at some point but would be handy if it lasted till then lol
