would 1.6 clocks fit in a 1.2 8v or would they not be accurate/work properly?

Yup they fit but you need to know if they are cable or electric yours and the new set
Also do you have a rev counter? If not take yours out and check the plug for a pea green wire if it's not there it gets a little more complicated

my starts with 0. heard those are the electric ones. non rev. new set im looking to buy is out of a sport . sure there are electric too.

Pull your clocks out that way you can check rev counter wire and if yours are cable etc would be my advice
