on a lot of web pages the images show up as just a little X in a black box anyone know how to fix this ?

It means the image failed to load. Probably it's just a missing image and not a local issue, so nothing you can fix.

I can view it on my phone and personal laptop just not work pc

I have this all the time at work. Nope nothing you can do about it. Unless you are in a smallish company with a friendly boss/IT manger.

VPN or proxy would get likely get around the filter, although your IT policy probably doesn't allow it

how do I do this? iv also tried it in firefox and it comes up as a torn piece of paper on there

At one place I worked you could just delete the proxy in internet options and you got full unrestricted access
