u knw what r the good points and bad points on them
sorry if u cn't understand the way im wording this
but plz i wud like ur HONEST views on them

from what i hear it upsets the brake balance as back brakes only do 20% of braking but the huge positive about it is that they look the dogs dangly's!

makes the arse end unstable under heavy braking specially round corners can cause the rear to lockup and catch up with the front end!!!!

Rubbish!!!!!!!
I#'ve not known 1 rear disc conversion to mess up. My mate craig done his, never had any probs, Lee Mitchell has one, Donna has em, i've got em as has many others.
Great thing to do. I've always wanted rear dics. They look great, the car stops MUCH better, and it made my pedal feel slightly better too. U can feel the brakes working much better.
Rear brakes do 25% braking, but are more for just keeping the balance of the car.
Great conversion to do. Theres been a few posts with step by step guides on what to do. Do a search and u should find something. Or in the tutorial guides.
Great mod, do it dude!!

If you have a new brake bias valve fitted at the same time as the rear discs then you can adjust the braking force down so that the rear discs are still only as powerfull as rear drums.
Kinda defeats the object I know, but rear drums on a corsa are totally unnecessary and are only really an asthetic upgrade.

you wont be saying that when your brake bias valve spring snaps and you dont have any rear brakes, the car doesnt bloody stop fast atall.

"but rear DISCS on a corsa are totally unneccessary and are only an asthetic upgrade"
Is that better?

Another misconception is that if you uprate your front brakes, you need to uprate the rears too. In fact better front brakes mean that there's more weight transfer to the front under hard braking than with standard brakes, which in turn means the rears do even less as a proportion of the overall braking. Drums are fine unless you really want the improved aesthetic of discs..

I stand by my comment.
As soon as i had my rear discs on the car and got it on the road, it stopped FAR better than it did with just the V6 brakes up front.
Far far better in fact.
