how many miles is it safe to say when the engine of a new car is bedded in properly? Just recently got new corsa c sxi. cheers..

The garage told me about 1000, my parents were told the same when they got their's .

500 miles below 3/4000rpm, then gradually work it up. Thats what i did after my rebuild.

1000miles and dont labour the engine, esp. on hills.
