my corsa c 1.0 12v has had a 0-60 in 14.5 seconds and a top speed of 105

lol, yer both slow as but the 1ltrs are quicker when ya both hit third gear. Not alot bottom end but theres nothing at all in the 1.2 8v's when ya hit third!!

Only thing is i hate that hair dryer sound the 3 cylinder engine makes

ive got a 1.2 8v but a mate had a 1.0ltr 12v. We raced a few times (if ya can call it that, lol), was pretty similar to 50 but his was much quicker through 3rd gear. Suppose that extra 10bhp has to do something

Meant 3rd gear.

Its on 205/50/15's so i guess speedo maybe out a bit but on the flat it really struggles to pull to 80. If i get higher than that downhill i can hold it at just under 90 on the flat but soon as ya hav to slow down ya stuck at under 80 again. Had 101 down a pretty steep hill on the motorway between Sheffield and Doncaster

Its depressing driving a 1.2 8v. Its slow and not even good on fuel. O well, lol

Get a Dbilas manifold, I got one for a 1.2, just with a Dastek, drileld airbox and revised air feed, panel filter and system keeping original manifold cat, sounds like an Austin Healey 3000, has well over 110 bhp and will beat a mates Golf GTi 1.8 T (150bhp) up to 70 mph easily.

no cant imagine it does either. Never heard a nice sounding 1tr. Dont get me wrong there probably out there but all the 1's i hear with filters sound lik hairdryers or something!!
