Erm, you can use them in the fog. Hence the name fog lights.

Not that I'm aware of anyway. Drive round with them on if you like mate, but I think it's a on the spot fine if you get pulled. I got fined 40 quid 2 years back when I got caught with them on.

I pulled on Friday night for having my spot lights on. On the spot fine as you are not allowed any extra lights on unless weather permits.
I was at the Dundee cruise and got all the way down there(66 miles) and about 60 miles back up the road with them on. So about 6 miles from home i got pulled, gutted.

I can understand it when its "foggy" or even when driving down windy country roads as it helps to see the sides....
other than that - whats the point!!! - people usually flash you and it dont make your car look any better.... (saxo owners mainly )

Wheneva i see someone driving round in day time, or night time with their fogs on, and its not foggy......i just think "what a wanker". The majority of people think the same way as me.
The others use their fogs
Its especially DUMB when they use em in with just side lights..........i mean.........wot the hell is all that about. It dont look good, its just the same sort of thing as having a really loud exhaust on a 1.0 nova, or LED washer jets.
