Lol, go to the cliosport forum and read the posts in the 'driving tales' bit....you'd think that the Clio Sport was the fastest car in the world.

The new 182 has a rather crap looking twin exhaust setup, making it look like a wheelbarrow.

For that money, if you want speed a secondhand Scooby or S15 Silvia would be more satisfying.

I quite like them! Bet they go quite well to with 182 horses in a small car!

I'm looking at this 52reg Clio Cup today, hopefully buying by the end of the week. As for the 182, I'm not keen on the exhaust or the new style wheels.

got to be the older style 172 as dan says. Excellent cars IMO, a true hot hatch. Very quick off the mark, and i remember being obliterated in one when in my corsa once.

go for the 172 cup. cheaper, lighter and faster. money saved can be spent modding it! better handling too. 182 has crapper styling with those stupid twin exhausts and i dont like the wheels either. maybe wait to see if there will be a 182 cup. probably be the best of the lot.

Me and a mate were just talkin bout them this morning and sayin that it shouldnt be that hard to get the extra 10bhp out of the 172 neway. Dunno how much extra renault are charging for the 182 but i bets you could save money and mod the 172 that extra 10 brake.

i prefer the 172 styling anyday. i would have the 172 over the cup version too, its nice to have a few creature comforts in exhange for a 0.2 difference on the 0-60.

Apparently the 172's never make 172bhp....I think they are quite heavy, and the V6 aint even 'all that quick'
