Hey guys im thinkin of buying a silver playstation 2. i just wondered if anyone knows what they play with regard to:
copied dvd's
copied games
vcd's
other region dvd's
im not really up on consoles so i need some info
o yeh, and anyone know wheres the cheapest place to buy them on the net?

they play copied dvds straight outta the box
you gotta get them chipped to play copied games
they will never play vcds
the price should be lowered to £99.99 on monday im pretty sure of it
and if you need someone to chip it i know just the guy

the guy i know also supplies the chips.
gimme 2 secs and i will find out the price. tis only down here in caerphilly too so you can go pick it up i would think
ive mailed the guy about the price of a chip. i know he charges £50 fitted

i jus bought a second hand xbox for 70 quid, got it chipped for 60 off a mates mate. Get the games for 5 quid. What more can u ask for? jus been playin spiderman 2 and NBA streetz, wicked console i also own an xbox but prfer this. I am gona out it in my car soon

i have PS2, xbox and gamecube .ps2 is hte best console by far, also GT4 and the new GTA are out soon

Got rid of PS2 bag of shite.
Had GT3 yawn to be honest. Just same as 1 and 2. Gets boring IMO.
Was unreliable and i work in a shop we sell these and get lots back!
Never had 1 xbox returned 
Had my xbox since xmas (thank yooooo chanel xxxx)
Its fucking ace, WAY better than the ps poo

 never heard so much rubbish. the xbox is by far the better consol. and the xbox will play coppied DVDs. the PS2 will play some coppied DVDs not all. and one some will crash halfway through.
i work for GAME, the PS2 is not £105, and the xbox will be £99.99 on friday onwards.
the xbox also has xbox live which is the best gaming experience there is, what does the PS2 have, online facilaties that no1 supports. BRILL!

all about GT4 being online tho

my ps poo always crashed and froze.
Unreliable as hell sold it to gamestation for £90 @ Xmas
I feel sorry for the poor kid whose cheapskate parents got him it for xmas

PS2's can become very unreliable after a year with regards to reading disks, especially if you use copies quite often.
Xbox's will go forever and a day and will never let you down. Wont be long before the downsized version of the xbox is out, or if you want you can rip apart the xbox to make it fit something else.

if you work for game i would look again i got an e mail this morning saying silver ps2 with 2 games for £109

How often do you use it for copied dvd's? And you live in a dust free house i think
First consoles over here were v3's and working launch consoles are antiques now

must admit mine packed up after a year and a half so i ordered another out the catalogue swapped the lasers and sent it back
