You didn't say in your original post about the difference in wheel sizes. Don't call me thick until you have checked your spelling

They dont make THAT big a difference, only fractional. In the wet i'd say a std one with std suspension and wheels/tyres will be just as quick. Is your a 8V and his is a 16V?

We've simply replied to your question and your not liking the answer. Chill out and go away!

a car with 16" alloys should be slower 0-60 than one with 14" alloys.

However a car with 16" alloys should be faster top end...

This is due to the extra weight the 16" alloys are - And of course both cars would have to be exactly the same stats. (same engine sizes)

Of course you will be able to take bends quicker 0-60 when its lowered, so yes it will be faster in that respect i guess,

However how many times do you go 0-60 timing around corners?? NON.

So the answer to your first question.

No it wont be any faster once lowered.

The traction would depend on the tyre width rather than the size of the wheel. 16's would slow the car down on 0-60 because the wheels weigh more. Lowering isn't going to give you a vast amount of traction when it comes to pulling off, and once you're out of first gear it will hardly matter at all.

Anyway, have fun with your burberry clothing and 14yr old pregnant girlfriend tonight
