I would just like to say thanks to JBL for building a great sub
Their 1000w 15" are only £75 and sound fantastic, they can hit the really low, deep notes and even keep up with most dance tracks!

ideally, that size box should be suited to one 15" sub - ported, but nevermind. what amp have u got running them

Ported would make them too lazy to hit punchy dance notes, good for deep rolling bass though.

Dont see the point in SPL really, all that work for short bass "burps"
Prefer sq/ street bass, good quality but plenty of volume!

i agree with you, i prefer street bass. But they do tend to steer towards the spl side of things on the general audio part

SQ RULES !!
Why have you got 6x9's and subs in the back, a biggg no no. JBL are good for the money. but i love my IDQ10 which kicks like a muthafucka.

thanks for comments!!
the 6x9s sound ok because the gain is turned down on them so dosent drag music back as much (a 500w splx amp-yes i know they are crap!)
the subs are powered by a 1200w pyramid amp.
i want to get it all installed properly soon with an extra battery, bigger alt etc etc as the headlights dim hen played loud!
im going to upgrade the big three earths too.

and i made the shelf myself for £15! so dont go paying £70 when you can make one yourself!

get rid of the 6x9s tho m8, or at least move them to the rear 3/4 panels, they will be getting distorted a lot by 2 15's pushing them about.
Wat front setup do you have?

standard speakers in the doors at the mo!
its a work-in-progress install at the moment, one i get amped front components then i was thinking about getting rid of the 6x9s, but would there be enough mids to balance the bass?

well having the 6x9's in the current position arent really going to be audible for midrange stuff at all. If you get a decent set of compenents, make sure they are 6.5" ones, use plenty of dynamat on the doors and dont skimp on anything, and you'll get your midrange sounds.

Aye just the autoleads corsa adaptors, just dont use the adaptor ring and you can fit 6.5" straight in as long as the mounting depth on the speakers aint huge. If you use the adapter ring only 5" speakers will fit.

^nice and the crossover can be shown off, but paying that much for components will mean your best off amping them aswell
