had one for years, also had lots of other makes, is by far the best sounding i've heard

may look a bit dull, but i ain't into having a hunk of silver plastic in my dash that lights up like a christmas tree

alot of HU's look very tacky these days

never had mine overheat or heard that before

Nakamichi are bloody superb, we sell their home audio stuff at work, and it blows B&O out of the water when it comes to clarity and depth. headunits are fantastic too, very very impressed, much better quality than Alpine, Sony, Kenwood etc etc

Nakimichi's are amazing but most chavs just laugh at them because they look so plain.

Would you believe it Halfords sell them and when I worked there no matter how much I banged on about gold terminals and circuitry and top quality D?A converters etc no one could understand why it was in the £500 section

All because it didnt have the pretty flashing lights of the Sony next to it

The people who say Nakamichi are shite are the people who don't know what they are talking about.... They are the best, and bloody expensive. Plus because they aren't covered in stupid flashing lights and shit people will think they are standard and wont nick them, in theory....

tbh i have a decent pioneer unit
its easy to use and give's as good sound quality as the nakamichi

i aggre with ed they are for geek's
i like a little style from my stereo
i dont like all singing all dancing flashing multicouor'd disco of a unit
but i like it to look more style'd than a unit that was made from a 1980's template

if you can distuinguish the difference in sound quality between two headunits you have very special ear's
because i cant

unless its a 1920's tape deck vs a 2005 mp3 player at top quality
