i no that James R has done something similar to what ive done to my airbox. that is make a second hole in the airbox on the side away from the engine and have a cold air feed running down by the wheel arch. what are peoples views on this AND have people taken out the restrictive pipes in the airbox or left them in??
cheers

Cold are feeds are good but depends on what engine you have. If it's a 12 volt then don't bother, a redop then go ahead with a drilled airbox and panel filter

its a 1.6 16v m8. i no its not realy effective but instead of running another feed to the front of it along with the standard its all still enclosed. what about the restrictive pipes? anyone take them out?

yes, remove the restrictive pipes. try and give the air as simple route to the engine as possible.

Take the bottom plate off,
Take the restiricting pipes out.
Do the cold air feed thing,
And get a K&N panel filter.

just done it and sounds loads better. Only issue now is when letting off the throttle the idle dies down abit too low then comes straight up again.

I don't see why VX would have deliberately restricted the airboxes though?
