a) Get a ADSL Router which does NAT (will be affective as a firewall)
b) ZoneAlarm is fine
c) Get Anti Virus!

inbuilt router protection is good enough to not warrant something installed on a local PC

I have no antivirus or firewall and I know for a fact I haven't got any virus's.

I don't know how people manage to get them in the 1st place.

I'm tempted to try that and not get any problems.

I have read all the stuff about a totally unpatched xp system being hacked within 20 mins or whatever though.

You only get viruses if you go to obviously dodgy sites and click yes.

Or use well known dodgy download programs.
