oki, another quick question, this seems to be the reason my revs get stuck sometimes.
is it easy to get to?
I have the same model as eel it seems!

In short, no, its not easy to get to.
Yo have to remove the upper inlet, and the battery, battery tray and even then, it's hard work.

don't think so, IIRC, the inlet trunking gets in the way, and the gear linkage

Your idle will be all over the place, and the Engine management light MAY be on.

your car will rev irratically or rev high or stall depending on if the icv is sticking or is stuck or not working properly.

go to vauxhall and get it diagnosed then you will know exactly what is wrong with it instead of just guessing what sensor it could be

OMG Its when you take it to a garage and they plug a tech device in (which is a computer) and the computer tells them what the problem is with your car ie a fault code to tell you what is wrong.

Then i doubt changing the icv will sort it out.Try spraying some carb cleaner into the air intake system whilst reving the engine at about 4000rpm.This should clean the icv enough to stop it sticking. That is if its the icv thats causing the problem as i dont think it is.Could be a vacuum leak maybe or an ignition problem?Who knows.
