Can anyone tell me what ignition system or setup they have used to run there red top on twin 45s

Any advice would be helpful, engines in but need to get this sorted now

IIRC, you need the dizzy type set up from the early XE engine..........

Basically..........They mix fuel and air and then let it go into the cylinders.

it means "if i remember correctly mate " they just shorten it to IIRC so they dont have to type it all out

No because you will fail your MOT's emission test, assuming the engines in its original age car.

For a xe, you'll also need a adjustable fuel pressure regulator to get the pressure down to a carb level.

Be prepared for the fuel bill to shoot up too, as you get addicted to the noise and cant help but floor it

You would also need some form of aftermarket ecu to control the ignition.

And an inlet for the carbs, which as far as i know aren't produced for a z14xep engine.

A tb has an injector which is ecu controlled.

A carb is entirely mechanical, as is a stand alone fuel system, it wont give as much power or the driveability of a throttle bodied engine tho.
