Thoughts?

I had a play with a friends today & first impressions weren't great But it did start to grow on me slightly as I used it a bit more

Looks nothing like it did in the pics. I expected it to be jet black, plus the blue bit on the keypad doesn't light up blue. Touch sensitive bit works ok but not everytime

Hows the battery life?

K850 you mean? If so then yeah its ok, very similar to the 800, nothing really new but the 800 was a good phone. The buttons and touch screen are taking some getting used to but it seems ok + the touch screen works in a phone case which is good for work purposes.

No complaints from me yet.

I've got used to now, even though it's quite different to the other SE phones I've had. It's a great phone, although viewing 5MP photos can be a bit slow (understandably, perhaps) and the menu can be a bit slow.

Menu speed usually improves with a firmware update.

Apparently the next batch will run a lot better & sort out the screen darkness issues

Similar thing happened on the K750i, the speaker was too quiet so they did a firmware update to alter it

Is the dark pictures an issue Matt? I tried taking some in town on the weekend and they just came out black, everything is on Auto so the flash etc should have worked.

I'll do some research, it could have just been user error though, pissed retard in town trying to take photos, probably never going to happen.

im very happy with mine .

Tbh with the darkness of the picture, the camera setting are more important on the 850i over the 800i. The things like portrait, landscape, twilight etc.

If you set it to the right function the pictures come out alright.

Tbh it may be 5MP camera, but in my eyes it will never be as good as a dedicated 5MP digicam. Camera phones suffer in artificial light IMO

Yeah Matt, apart from me being a 'tard with the camera. im chuffed with it. Not very different from the 800 but i'm used to the buttons etc and I prefer it now. It looks more compact too without all the lumps and bumps for the camera.

Mine arrived today, once you get the hang of the buttons over older SE phones its great!

Pictures turn out well with the correct settings, more to fiddle with than the older versions.

The auto rotate fetaure in media is pretty

I love the marble game that uses the tilt sensor, it's a nice little touch.

Fooked up at first, your thumb wants to go to the left.

Mine works fine - I just can't see what the fuck is going on!
But no, the new one should arrive on my doorstep on Thursday - I had been toying with the idea of cancelling it and waiting for the W960i but I can't be arsed

Had one of those text to landline messages at 7am this morning (cheers for that O2 you cunts!) saying that my phone is going to be delivered today - so I'm hoping it comes within the next hour or so as I'm off to bed for a few hours after that as I'm on nights tonight
