So I did

Must say I'm extremely impressed.

Got it from Gamestation.

40GB with Spiderman 3 BD-DVD and COD4.

£324.99.

Just a quick question, if I'm running a HDMI do I need to bother with an Optical Digital cable? Or does the HDMI account for both picture and sound well enough?

HDMI is actually higher bandwidth -- has enough to deal with Dolby TruHD etc (8 channels uncompressed @ 24-bit 192kHz each)...

Plus you only have one cable doing it all -- much neater...

Cool beans

Only my Optical Cable disconnected from my Amp whilst I was wiring up the PS3. Its a bastard to locate and connect again so thats good to hear

i mean the board in general? when i bought a PS3 at release everyone was 360 and proud, now that i buy a 360 as well everyone jumps from bill's ship and hoists their flags on the sony frigate

sales for blu ray against HD is roughly 2 to 1 in the states, although paramount and pixar have ditched blu ray and say they're only going to release on HD. as long as blu ray continues the ways its going, they're surely going to have to relinquish

Just take a stroll in HMV and Virgin, no HD-DVD's to be seen. Same goes for Blockbuster Video, they rent BD-DVD, but not HD-DVD.

as far as consoles go it doesnt matter which wins, MS will just release a blu ray player for the xbox if that happens
