OK... so slightly complicated scenario here... I've been a Sky customer for almost 9 years now and having sorted out my flat I want to transfer my old Sky+ from Natalies house to my flat, upgrade to Sky HD (as cheaply as possible!) and then set Natalie up with Sky+ and get us both the introduction thingy
Any ideas what sort of costs etc we are looking at?

Baring in mind that Natalie can probably keep the existing Sky+ box (altho its ancient and not in very good nick lol)

so basically you want to transfer your account over to a new house and upgrade to Sky HD? Thats easy enough, just phone them up and tell them and they'll sort you out with it for a decent price - think you get a discount of boxes as been a member for so long.
And then Natalie would be starting a new account with them - referred by you - and get a cheap or free Sky+ box?

Just ring them up. You'll be able to push them on the HD price as you'll be moving and needing a new box anyway so can play the Virgin HD card with them.
Im trying to find that offer on their site thats currently on adverts on the TV atm, sure its for a free Sky+ box.

Or if you want Sky HD you might be able to talk them round to getting one Sky+ and one HD for a little extra cash. If not its £169 for the Sky HD box as been with Sky for more than 3yrs, otherwise its £199.

They want £300 for the Sky HD box, £30 installation then there is somethign about a discount for the HD box in the region of £50 :S
Then they are quoting £200 I think for a new Sky+ box :S

Existing Sky TV customers
If you are an existing Sky digital subscriber and cause a further customer, who is not a member of your household, to subscribe to any Sky digital package by 14 December 2007 you will each be eligible for a free Sky+ box if you are each first registered at friend.sky.com, any new subscribers subscribe by calling 08700 248 901 and have their equipment installed and enabled by 31 December 2007. New subscribers will receive a free Sky+ box at the time of installation and existing customers will receive written details of how to book their free Sky+ upgrade once their recommended friend has enjoyed and paid for his or her first month’s viewing (seasonal delays may apply). Customers with existing Sky+ boxes may request £50 worth of M&S vouchers instead of a free Sky+ box. Offer available to the first 10,000 applicants only.

Thats from their website. So should be able to get that easy enough. Will just need to pay for the HD at £169 then.

We've got it, and think its well worth the money for the movies and footy. Its only an extra £10, and considering I watch atleast 5 games a month in HD its not too much really.

Cheapest method is probably buying the box off ebay (£188 delivered) and just upgrading your subscription.
I did it that way as i was offered it for a reduced £279! by Sky

i work for sky..
as i can understand (i havent read anything apart from your first post)
you have sky, 9year cust.
nat has never had sky..
you introduce nat as a sky customer, she gets sky+ box and free installation.
you then get £50 of M&S vouchers.
and because you have been with sky for 9 years you are entitled £50 off your skyHD
so your price would be 249 for the box and 30 for the installation
this stuff about you getting sky+ box aswell is only if you have not got sky+. ( i dont care what the website says you wont get it)
the above is jsut the normal shite deals..
the way to really get a deal is say you are leaving.
