unveiled today by apple, and a huge thing for product designers as it means a new product thats way beyond whats out at the moment!!
and they delivered big time!!
Macbook air is just amazing, the size is unreal and id love to know how they managed to get it soo thin!!

www.apple.com have a look and check out the demo for it!

some real interesting ideas such as the optical wireless drive!! and the sensor pad doing soo much more like the iphone interaction!!

They make it so thin by missing things like a user replaceable battery out.

There are also smaller vaio's etc but looks good.

i havent had a look at the prices as onyl out in us at the mo!!
i can understand no battery could be a downfall but i gues sud send it away much like if a battery on an ipod goes

Looks the nuts, but im sure like most apple things has lots wrong with it, Apple charge $129 to replace the battery.

Check this page out loads on the Mac stuff at the convention.

i aint bitter at all, it will be like the iphone, too much money compared to what the competition can do.

Impressive bit of engineering but not a massive market for it IMO. Its a hell of a lot to pay for the spec. Are there that many people that wan't such a small laptop? I would rather spend the extra and have the connectivity, more ram, HDD etc.

IMO its a great idea in practice but its nothing more than an (expensive) terminal, especially with the Time Capsule thats released to go with it.

ive got a vaio and its broken on me about 4 times!!
wouldnt buy another adn im fed up with windows operating stystem etc

i work with a mac and a pc everyday at my desk and my apple is twice as relaible as my pc
