Can't get a spark on my 1.4 8v (C14SE).
It's been a like for like engine swap, and I'm using all the electric parts of my old engine. Was all working fine beforehand. There are a couple of plugs I can't find where they go, can anyone tell me?
This is down by the gearbox side
Some sort of breather
By the air flow sensor
(The breakers just cut this off, but I can't find the lead to plug it into)
This is down by the left side of the engine, does it go into the rad somewhere?
Video:
First 16 seconds were with the coil pack undone to get the oil around the engine, then the last bit is with it plugging in, not even trying to fire. Smells of fuel though. Any ideas? Or if any of those plugs are affecting it not sparking?
Cheers

The first one is for the lambda sensor, which is the thing on the manifold, which wire is broken, ul need a new one.

Just take your lambda off the old manifold if you can.

Can't see any of them affecting it from getting a spark. It might stop it starting or running correctly but I can't see why it'd cause the ECU not to make it spark.

As I say I'd have thought that'd affect the running of it rather than the sparking.

From what I can see it's all attached. It is turning over yeah, as you can hear in the video.

Is the crank sensor the sensor that reads the flat spot on the sprocket with teeth? Connected to the fan belt?

reads off the bottom pulley yea, the missing tooth on there.

Hmm. On this engine it was snapped, so we had to swap it from the old engine, but then the 'belt holders' were for a different fan belt, so we swapped them too, but the sensor should all be in the same position etc.
Might be a problem?

Warren you legend, I checked it again and the small notch it goes in wasn't located, so the sensor was at the wrong angle to the pulley. Sorted that and it started up, and then I remember I hadn't done the exhaust up to the manifold
Few bits to sort such as gear linkage and lambda sensor and she's a good'un

Just got to sort the gear linkage now. Seems straight forwards at least. And the lamda sensor needs changing from my old manifold as I keep getting pop bangs from over fuelling . But it's bloody hard to get it off.
And then go for a test drive and hope for the best

Oh yes, it takes some beating to get it out, i had to coat mine in JB80 and heat it with a blowtorch before the fucker would come out

Holy shit
Sounds like it'd be easier to change the manifold
