I was under the impression you didn't need one if driving to/from the MOT testing station?

You can leagaly drive to an MOT station as long as it's pre booked, but if it failes then your car has been deemed un-roadworthy and you get shafted!

My dad drove his car three months after mot went out of date, due to being in algeria on business, on his vectra and dint realise untill sum jam racky came round a bend on wrong side n rit mi dads car off. Insurance company took £100 off his claim n that was it. They also valued his car £400 more than what he was puttin it up for sale so he made sum coin

Only a fine. Sometimes genuine mistakes are made and people don't realise they don't have an MOT.
